Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status to “married” on Saturday.

Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple, according to a guest authorized to speak for the couple. The person spoke only on the condition of anonymity.

Zuckerberg took his company public in one of the most anticipated stock offerings in Wall Street history Friday. And Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, on Monday, the same day Zuckerberg turned 28, the person said.

The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years, the person said.

Zuckerberg designed the ring featuring “a very simple ruby,” according to the person who gave the following characterization of the wedding.

The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg’s backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan’s graduation.

Even after the IPO, Zuckerberg remains Facebook’s single largest shareholder, with 503.6 million shares. And he controls the company with 56 percent of its voting stock.

The site, which was born in a dorm room eight years ago, has grown into a worldwide network of almost a billion people.

Zuckerberg founded Facebook at Harvard in 2004.

He was named as Time’s Person of the Year in 2010, at age 26.

Zuckerberg grew up in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and his wife of 18 years, Gwen, are announcing their separation “after much heartfelt consideration,” the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively.

“Though we have made this incredibly difficult decision to separate, our love and mutual respect remain, and we look forward to sharing in the lives of our wonderful children,” they say in a joint statement Thursday.

The couple live 35 miles from Hollywood with their kids Joshua, 9, and Taylor, 7. Harrison, 40, coaches both kids’ soccer teams, and is “an amazing father,” Gwen told PEOPLE in 2010. “He’s very loving and involved.”

Harrison hosts the new season of The Bachelorette, which premieres May 14 on ABC.

“Out of love and respect for one another we will continue to remain friends and raise our two beautiful daughters together,” the couple said in a joint statement released to PEOPLE by his rep.

Lawrence, who also appeared in the Bad Boys films, just finished a nationwide sold-out comedy tour and a shot a comedy pilot for CBS.

The couple tied the knot on a farm in Somerset, England, in front of approximately 200 guests, including family and friends, according to reports.

Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Firth were among the guests, the Daily Mail reports.

Mulligan, 26, and Mumford, 25, were childhood pen pals in London and reconnected as adults. The couple, who have been linked since 2011, became engaged in August.

They have been rarely spotted together and have stayed mum about their relationship, but a source told the Sun in February that they decided to wed in Britain because “it’s where both of their families are from.”

Mulligan, who is starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the upcoming Baz Luhrman version of The Great Gatsby, split from Shia LaBeouf in 2010.

Mumford & Sons roots-rock album, “Sigh No More,” was the sixth best-selling album of 2011.

“Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you’re the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well,” he wrote at the time. He also posted a photo of his bride-to-be with the words, “I’m lovestruck.”

It’s the first marriage for McNeil, 42, and the third marriage for Diamond, who kicks off a U.S. summer tour on June 1.

Lingerie-wearing “Californication” actress Meagan Good has decided to take on a more heavenly role — TMZ has learned … she’s now engaged to her preacher BF.

Meagan’s rep tells TMZ, 30-year-old Good recently got engaged to DeVon Franklin – an exec at Sony Pictures Entertainment who leads a double life as a 7th Day Adventist preacher.

A little rundown on your typical 7th Day Adventist — he takes the Bible pretty literally, practices Sabbath on Saturday, doesn’t eat pork and frowns upon alcohol … not that there’s anything wrong with that.

According to Meagan’s rep, the preacher proposed last month in L.A, but the couple has known each other for years. They began dating just after production wrapped on “Jumping the Broom” … which Meagan starred in, and DeVon produced.

No date yet for the wedding … but an open bar is probably out.
